Prabhjot Bhatia is an award-winning filmmaker, marketer, and creative director with a deep passion for telling stories that spark emotion and inspire change. As the founder of Larger Than Media, he blends documentary storytelling with strategic marketing, creating content that resonates on both a human and commercial level. His work spans Emmy-nominated television, branded campaigns, independent films, and social impact content.
Born in Punjab, India, and raised as a first-generation immigrant in the U.S., Prabhjot draws from his cultural roots and lived experiences to inform his storytelling. His creative voice is shaped by a commitment to highlighting underrepresented perspectives, and by the journalistic edge of influences like VICE, PBS Frontline, and National Geographic. Whether he's exploring environmental justice, cultural identity, or community-driven narratives, his goal remains the same: to tell meaningful stories with visual and emotional power.
In addition to documentary work, Prabhjot has built a strong track record in advertising and branded content. From leading visual strategy as Video and Visual Media Director at AdThing to directing full-scale ad campaigns for startups and nonprofits, he has helped brands build trust and drive engagement through cinematic storytelling. His advertising portfolio includes fast-turnaround retail campaigns, multicultural marketing efforts, and award-winning projects like the “FOAM” campaign, which earned top honors at the Epics Awards. He’s known for his ability to combine compelling visuals with marketing insight—whether it’s boosting foot traffic by 37% for a local event or launching a full production suite for a new product line.
Prabhjot holds a B.S. in Marketing from the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah, with a minor in Documentary Studies. When he’s not behind the camera or leading creative teams, he enjoys discovering new food spots, watching films, and spending time with friends and family over a good board game.
